This November, when rest isn't enough, we clear what keeps your nervous system on alert. Then you float, and your body can return to presence.
When rest isn't enough, there's often a time frame underneath where the pressure was high and the support wasn't there. Take a minute to see where you're at.
1 · What is your body doing right now? Choose as many as you like.
2 · Which feels most true? Choose as many as you like.
3 · How long has it felt like this?
Pick at least one in 1 and 3 to see it.
Nothing here is saved or sent. If you're in crisis right now and need support today, call or text 1737 any time.
Katie, 40, is a junior doctor and single mum. She came in on stress leave, ready to leave medicine. She had three Havening sessions, then three floats.
By the last session she was back at work, could ask her team for support, and her joy in medicine was returning.
Her overall wellbeing went from lower than 90% of her peers to 77% above them. She felt neutral around the colleague who had upset her, and had more time and compassion for her son and her patients.
Measured with the Mayo Wellbeing Index. One person's experience, shared with permission. Everyone's path is their own.

When the pressure was too much and the support wasn't there, those time frames can get stuck on a loop, keeping you on edge and guarded. What your body wants is calm, connection and presence.
Together we find when and where those time frames are stored. Slow, soothing light touch tells your body it's safe, so what's been stored can finally be processed.
Then you float like a relaxed mermaid in space. No light, no sound, no gravity. With nothing left to guard, your body can finally let go.
Deeper sleep, and energy that lasts the whole day.
Busy days and difficult people stop setting you off.
More connection with your work, your people and yourself.
Everyone's experience is their own.
Float changed my life. As a medical student and float host here, it was one of the first places my hypervigilant nervous system felt safe enough to switch off.
When I added Havening, we found where that alarm came from: hospital experiences I hadn't been able to process. Havening released it, the float held it. Magic and miracles happened.
I went on to qualify as a doctor, open Whangārei's only float centre, and train mental health professionals in Havening. I'm so excited to join the Float Culture team again this November.

We gently explore what's lying under the surface. Then you float.
We clear the next layer while it's ready to move. Then you float.
We bring it together, and you leave with simple self-Havening for home. Then you float.
An online call to see what's changed. Then your final float.
In person on Tuesdays: 10, 17 and 24 November. Dates don't quite fit? Talk to me, we can often make it work.
3 Havening sessions · 4 floats · online check-in · self-Havening to take home
20 minutes online with me. We talk about what's going on and see if this journey is right for you.
Try Havening on one recent stressful moment, like a hard day at work, and notice what shifts. Short on time? We can do this on your call.
If it feels right, we lock in your month from Tuesday 10 November.
Calm and gentle. You sit fully clothed while I use slow, soothing light touch on your upper arms, palms and face, with simple prompts like counting or humming. Most people feel lighter or a little sleepy afterwards, a lovely lead into a float. Havening was developed by Dr Ronald Ruden, a physician and researcher. More about Relief →
No. Havening can work without you sharing the details. You just need to know which moment you're bringing to mind.
Absolutely. The Float Culture team will show you around, and you're in control the whole time. You can leave the light on, keep the door open, or step out whenever you like.
It's 20 minutes online with me. We talk about what's been going on, you get a feel for how Havening works, and we see together if this journey is right for you. There's no pressure to book.
No. It's a gentle addition that works alongside whatever support you already have. If anything comes up that needs more, I'll help you find the right next step.
